    Hi Peter,

I’m attempting to put the shortcode on a page and getting that error. In the Data Explorer, I can see my table, macss_servicemembers in the main database. When I add the shortcode [wpdataaccess table=”macss_servicemembers”] and click UPDATE on the page, I get an error “Updating failed”, but the page did accept the update. Rendering the page gives the error “ERROR: Invalid table name or not authorized” where the table should render.

I have set the front-end permissions and can see the table in that area, too.

    I’d appreciate any guidance.

    Thanks,
    Randi

I removed spaces from between the ” marks and the table name and it worked.

    Hi Randy,

Good to hear you have solved the problem. There are some known issues with the shortcode I know. I’m going to release a new version this week or next that should solve these problems. The next version includes a Data Publisher that supports shortcode generation as well. Hope writing shortcodes will become much simpler… ??

    Best regards,
    Peter
