• I run wordfence on some IIS based (windows) wordpress installs- The scan finds infected files but consistently I am getting this error when I try to delete files:

    An error occurred
An invalid file was requested for deletion.
(button saying “Reload” on the dialog)

I feel like this might be an error related to it being on IIS/Windows server. Any thoughts/suggestions/fixes? I’m currently going on the server to manually delete these files.

  • Can you share what a couple of the file names are?

I have the plugin installed on multiple sites on IIS and it won’t delete files on any of the installs. It really feels like a windows/iis issue, perhaps calculating the file path incorrectly?
