Error Invalid Character: DPA Feed – Pixel Caffeine

could you please specify what is the “invalid character detected” in your feed file? Or do you want to share here the link to feed so I can investigate myself? It seems something strange come from your products to the feed.

Hi,

I checked and it seems the content you added in the description of a product contains some invalid (and invisible) characters for the XML feed.
I added a fix to the plugin to avoid this odd behavior and make sure all valid characters are contained in the feed, without giving the error anymore.

The fix will be available in the next version of the plugin that I want to release within this week. Meanwhile, if you want to fix without waiting the new version, you can download the plugin with the fix from the following URL and replace it in your WordPress site: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hejhtdphrtglxpq/pixel-caffeine.2.0.1.feed.zip?dl=1

I checked your XML file you posted before, but it doesn’t seem to be changed: https://baggerbags.com/wp-content/uploads/product-catalogs/main-product-catalog.xml

If you open the file from the editor or open the source from chrome and go to around line 45208 you will see also some HTML tags inside the tags that I already fixed in the 2.0.2, they should be stripped for sure.

Make sure to flush all caches you have in your site, by a plugin and/or by the server, maybe it could be this the reason why the feed doesn’t change after a new refresh.

Specifically, make sure that the feed is changed after a refresh, by checking the feed URL and making sure that any HTML tag is contained inside the description of the products.
