Error: invalid admin username

    Hello

    I am trying to fix the high priority item: “The admin user still exists.” however when I “enable change admin user” and set the new username, get the following error message:

    The new admin username you entered is invalid or WordPress could not change the user id or username. Please check the name and try again.

    Ive checked/tried a number of things:
    – The new user is definitely an administrator.
    – Ive changed passwords on both admin and user I want to change to
    – Ive created a new user with administrator privelige

    Nothing seems to work. I keep getting the same error.

    Any idea?

    Well, as soon as I posted it, I resolved it. I simply deleted the admin user manually from the user settings rather than from the iThemes settings. Still not sure what the problem was, but at least I dont have any more high priority items!
