Error installing Word Press 5.7

    The problem is “Could not create directory.: wordpress/wp-includes/js/imgareaselect”

    Does wp-includes/js exist? If so, what are the permissions?

    Update WordPress from DASHBOARD -> UPDATES.

    Thank you Steven! I was able to update wordpress from Dashboard- Updates!

    I’m having a similar issue. The update seems to work but it shows “The authenticity of wordpress-5.7.zip could not be verified as not signautre was found.”

    I updated through the dashboard and have tried re-installing but it shows the error still. It also shows that I have an update but I do not and in the update window it says “This site will not receive automatic updates for new versions of WordPress.”
