    Hi Support,

Nice looking product layouts, however, I am getting an error, “no header” something when installing on WPMU WordPress Multiuser.

    What’s up?

    Dear Support,

Ok, seems there’s a glitch installing, but the plugin did finally show up on my admin page.

However, when trying to create a basic template it just hangs up for nearly 5 minutes. I’ve tried several times, refreshed the pages, etc. but no luck. I am unable to create any product layouts.

Thanks for you help in advance, looks like a really great plugin.

If I can get over these initial few bugs.

    Dear Support,

    First great looking plug in.

I only wished I could get it to work. Cannot create a, “New Product Layout.” Have tried many times, including different layout options. Nothing works.

After inputting the “Layout Name” into the popup box, it just hangs up FOREVER.

    Here’s a screenshot: https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/1hSU8iffzJ6D2N8ZFGtPbH0vewUteexKY6QIrqxVKxI8

I have a funny feeling it is in conflict with another of my plugins, just a guess.

    Looking forward to your help.

    Great plugin!

    Thanks,
    Louie

    Hi, DolphinGuy,
Thanks for contacting us. We are really sorry for this error.

Please open your browser developer console and try to create a layout then you will see an error in the console. After that can you share the error, please? So that it will be easy to find out the issue.

    Thanks,
    Richard.

    Hi Richard,

Thanks for getting back to me. Here’s the Developer Console errors.

First image is just opening the Product Layout page. Second image is attempting to create a new product layout.

BTW: I’m installing on a WordPress Multisite that runs LiteSpeed. However, it hasn’t seemed to be any problems with other plugins.

    Hello,

I can’t see the console log screenshot. It seems I don’t have access. Can you check, please? And also we are working on it to fix all issues for multisite. Hopefully, it will be fixed in the next release.

    Thanks
    Richard.

    Hi Richard,

The screenshot should be available now.

Sorry for my late reply, I’m traveling and in the GMT+7 timezone right now.

If you can produce a fix, I run 50 websites on Multisite and would be happy to beta test any fix or advance release you might have.

    Thanks,
    Louie

    Hi, DolphinGuy,

We checked everything in multisite. But didn’t find any issue from our end. Did you deactivate your other plugins and checked? If you didn’t yet, can you do this, please? or you can provide us your plugin list and theme so we can install all plugins on our site and check.

    Thanks.
    Richard.

    Richard,

There looked to me as if there was a 500 critical error with the /admin-ajax.php on the second image when attempting to create a Product Layout in the console image I sent you.

You don’t think that has anything to do with the page hanging up?

    DolphinGuy,

First of all, we need to find out the issue. 500 errors can be due to various reasons.
    1. Server issue.
    2. Can conflict with other plugins and theme.
    3. Server memory issue.
    i) max_input_vars limitation
    ii) memory_limit limitation
    iii) upload_max_filesize limitation
    4. Existing Plugin issue ( But we didn’t find any issue from our end in the Product Layouts plugin ).
    5. PHP version issue. ( Can you let us know, which PHP version you are using on your site? )

Hope you understand. So please check everything on your site.

    Thanks,
    Richard

    Richard,

Thanks for getting back to me. Problem resolved.

I will write more later how and also recommendations to update your installation instructions for Multisite users.

For now, I just wanted to mark this thread resolved so not to alarm others.

I’ll update it again in the next few days.

    Thanks for your support.

Update: WPMU installation configuration of Product Layout

Product Layout must be enabled for each sub-site individually. From the Network Admin interface, it cannot be Network Activated. At least in my circumstance, global activation was not possible.

Update the installation instructions to clarify WPMU activation.
