Error in Woocommerce: data not loading

    Hi all,

    Running a webshop on wordpress with the Woocommerce plugin. If I navigate to WOOCOMMERCE – HOME I get the error ‘There’s been an error retrieving your data. Try again later ‘. I translated it from Dutch to English. Nothing at ‘orders’ or ‘stock’ is visible. If I navigate to WOOCOMMERCE – CUSTOMERS I get the same error.

    I have posted this question a couple of weeks ago along with the system status and the advise was to fix all issues first. Now I have fixed all issues (updating wordpress, updating PHP version, migrating to other server). As soon as I did that, we expected all errors would be fixed as well. Sadly, they’re not. I really need this to work, because we are starting a new administration system. I need to get clear numbers directly from plugin to my accountant.

    I have no critical errors in my DASHBOARD- SITE DIAGNOSIS, only a few recommendations:

    – The post_max_size is smaller than upload_max_filesize
    – The REST API call gave the following unexpected result: (403) {“code”:”rest_disabled”,”message”:”REST API uitgeschakeld.”,”data”:{“status”:403}}.

    Additional info that might be important:
    I received an error for a double gtag. I tried finding it in <head>, in plugins like ‘insert headers and footers’ but I cannot find it. Upon deactivating Monster Insights Plugin the error disappeared. So…somewhere, somehow there is a gtag (or code for analytics) on my website. I CANNOT find it! Went through the steps, also with my website builder, he couldn’t find it either. I’m just telling this because it could have something to do with the initial problem of not loading data through my woocommerce plugin.

    So, any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

    For future reference, we highly recommend staying on the initial topic to help us know what has been done and help further.

    The REST API call gave the following unexpected result: (403) {“code”:”rest_disabled”,”message”:”REST API uitgeschakeld.”,”data”:{“status”:403}}.

    The error points to the WP REST API being disabled which can cause the issue you’re experiencing.

    We have seen a few cases where the server’s (mode_security) configuration caused an issue like this. I’d recommend reaching out to your host to confirm their server settings aren’t blocking the WordPress REST API.

    Thanks for replying, will look into that.

    To be clear: I have 1 big issue – the woocommerce data not loading.

    The reason I mentioned the other problems is to give some more insights and because they might be related to the woocommerce data error.

    It wasn’t my intention to sum up every issue I have!

    Hi Shohan,

    Yes I have!

    Problem: Woocommerce plugin data didn’t load – error.

    Solution: renewed the .htaccess file. Somehow, somewhere it got damaged. It seemed like the (settings of) the WP Total Cache plugin caused the problem.

    After the renewing the .htaccess file and permalinks the REST API problem was also solved.
