• Hi there,

    Great little plugin, but I’m just encountering a small error which occurs when someone clicks on one of the files from within the email to download it. In the logs, at this point, this error is logged:

    [04-Sep-2016 20:13:45 UTC] WordPress database error You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘WHERE id = 108’ at line 1 for query SELECT * FROM WHERE id = 108;

    Do you know why this is occurring?

    Thanks so much,
    TJ

  • EBD does occasionally log errors and warnings and some are kinda scary like that one. Many months ago I went through the code because I was concerned about those, but found that they didn’t actually cause any problems. I had followed the instructions on the Description page, which had led me to install the older version of Download Monitor. After reading through the code it looked to me like the latest version of Download Monitor might work and not generate most of those errors, so I tried it and it got rid of those errors for me (I might have also fixed one or two myself, not sure now).

    Anyway, if you’re not using the latest version of EBD, you should, as that fixes a couple of the errors. Then, as I said, I think you’ll have fewer of those if you use the latest version of Download Monitor also. But, you may still see some (but you can probably ignore them).
