Google search console shows me an AMP error on 25 pages of my self-hosted WordPress website “Error in required structured data element”. I am using the AMP plugin by AMP project contributors. Anyone who could help me fix this issue?
    Thanks.

  • Hi @fromwithin88! While it doesn’t look like you currently have the plugin active to check your AMP pages, that error usually relates to the Schema.org markup in the source code of your site. I see you’re using the Yoast plugin, which provides this necessary markup in relation to the settings you’ve configured. When I run the site through the Structured Data Tool, I don’t seen any errors, but I do see there are duplicate types (perhaps your theme or another plugin is also adding these?).

Could you activate the plugin, run one of your AMP pages in the testing tool, and share the URL?

    Hi Renee,

The AMP was active but was on Reader mode so I changed it to apply to the whole website, then I ran the AMP test on a few pages. I get 4 errors “Missing or invalid structured data items” on 21 pages. This is on of the affected pages

I also use javascripts on my headers but I don’t know if it is related to these errors.

@fromwithin88 thanks for providing an AMP URL. When I run the page through the structured data testing tool, I see four errors related to the Yoast schema. Three look to be related to this issue which they’re working on. And one looks to be related to a missing “name” piece, which correlates with the author name for the post. The Yoast support forums would a good resource if you have any further questions about their schema.
