Error in Products Admin after WP update

  • I have the following errors at the top of the list products page in the WP dashboard.

    Compilation failed: nothing to repeat at offset 1 in /home/gorilla/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp.php on line 207

    Warning: preg_match(): Compilation failed: nothing to repeat at offset 1 in /home/gorilla/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp.php on line 208

    If I set the permalinks to default it goes away. But who wants to run their WP site without a good permalink structure ?

    I don’t see this error. Thats coming from a core WP file, within the parse_request() function. Are your permalink/rewrite rules odd/setup wrongly? Does your server support permalinks?

    I have this error that i can’t get rid of it

    Please turn off all plugins and switch to default 20-12 theme and repeat. See if the error still appears. Since this is coming from a core WP file you need to narrow down what is causing it.

    I switched to the 2012 them and turned off all plugins and still had this error.
