    Hello,

today, I have adapted the footer of my page and added a new link to my e-mail newsletter archive at the very bottom (right column). I styled the link with a white top border, 1px width. But after saving, the site was displayed with a border in the bottom instead of the top of the element. If I disable W3 Total Cache, everything is displayed correctly. I already purged all the caches multiple times but the problem persists. How to fix this?

I use WordPress 5.8.1 with Elementor Page Builder 3.4 for designing the footer. W3 Total Cache version is 2.1.8

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

So, I also tried to completely remove W3 Total Cache and re-install the plugin. Didn’t work. I tried to edit the footer again and I got another display problem. Now, the element’s border is gone completely, not only with the afforementioned link, but also with a second link in the footer.

If I disable the minifyer, the page is displayed correctly. But when I re-enable it, the error re-appears. Flushing cashes doesn’t change anything. The minifyer automatically removes unnecessary data from CSS. Probably, there’s removed too much or there’s still displayed an older saved version.

Here are two screenshots of the element with minifyer enabled and disabled:

    Hello @xenphi

I am sorry about the issue you are experiencing and I am happy to assist you with this.
Can you please disable the settings in Performance>minify one by one (HTML minify, JS minify, CSS minify) and see which one might be causing the issue?
Make sure to save all settings and purge the cache after each option is disabled.
    Thanks!

    Hi Marko,

thanks for your answer. It’s the CSS minifyer. The issue vanishes when I disable it. The minify method was set to “Combine & Minify”. When I set it to “Minify only”, the problem also disappears.

    Hello @xenphi

    Thank you for the information.
You should keep the CSS minifier to minify only as it appears that when combined the css file is breaking.
    Thanks!

    Hello @xenphi

    Thank you for your question.
This is not a bug in the W3TC plugin. W3 Total Cache is using the Minify library and some files may not agree with being combined or minified. Sometimes the files need to be completely excluded from minifying and sometimes, like in your case, you need to change Minify method. This is why in the previous updates we added Combine only, Minify only, and Combine and Minify, so we can allow more possibilities depending on the environment.
    Thanks!
