Error importing sql

  • Hi,

    I’m receiving a time-out error when importing a SQL backup using the Import function in MyPHPAdmin! I’ve been trying for hours – it spends ages loading then I get the error. Does anyone know how to successfully import the database without errors?!

  • What error are you getting? Is it just timing out or is it giving you a specific error message?

    If your file is too large, then it may be timing out on you. In that case, you may need to take a different approach to import it…see the following video.

    copy and paste out of the file. its a text file. Use the SQL tab.

    Make the file smaller. if you look at the file in a text editor, its fairly clear where you can break stuff up.
