“Error importing settings!” (not for current theme-but it is)

  • “Error importing settings! The settings you uploaded are not for the current theme.”

    Getting this error every time. I’m using the same theme on the same website, I just updated Vantage (from SiteOrigin).

    Hi a7xfanben,

    I tested your DAT file with the Vantage theme and it worked okay on my end. Have you renamed the theme folder at all?

    If not, a URL to the site could be helpful.

    I did actually. I’ll keep that in mind for the future. In the meantime I simply edited the settings to where I wanted them since it took far less time than I expected.

    Great to hear you were able to resolve quickly.

    Renaming the theme folder can definitely cause this issue.
