    Hello!

When I try to import contacts that contain Latin characters like ? á é í or ú the content is imported empty, for example in country “Espa?a”, or if the person’s name contains an accent like Martín or letter ? like Anto?o.

    Any solution? Thank you

    Hello @linksbreaker,

Thank you for reaching out regarding the issue you’re facing with importing contacts containing Latin characters into FluentCRM.

The most common cause of this issue is a character encoding mismatch. FluentCRM expects contacts to be imported using UTF-8 encoding, but your contacts may be encoded in a different format, such as ISO-8859-1.

To troubleshoot this issue, I recommend following these steps:

    • Check the encoding settings in the export tool you’re using. Ensure it’s set to UTF-8.
    • Use a text editor that supports UTF-8 encoding, such as Notepad++ or Sublime Text, to open the contacts file.
    • Save the file with a .csv extension.

Once you’ve confirmed that the contacts file is saved in UTF-8 encoding, try importing it into FluentCRM again.

If the issue persists, please feel free to provide us with a copy of the contacts file, and we’ll be happy to investigate further.
