Error – image – A value for the image field is required.

    Hello, first let me say thank you so much for this plugin! It is the best one I’ve come across.

    Everything seems to be displaying and working correctly except for one error. When I test posts using Google’s Structured Data Testing Tool the following error is reported at the very bottom for BlogPosting data:

    image – A value for the image field is required.

    Here is a link to the screenshot:

    I have all the main fields filled in including the site logo.

    I hope you can help shed some light on this error.

    Hi,

    This is not really an error or a bug in the plugin, this error shows in Google Structured Data Testing Tool because Google requires an image for BlogPosting markup.

    So, to solve this, you need to assign or upload a Featured image. Try to upload one and let me know how it goes.

    I stand corrected, my apologies, you’re right it’s not a error within the plugin itself. I tried your tip and it worked! Thank you for that.

    I’m sure someone else will see this problem with Google Structured Data Testing Tool and hopefully they come across this thread for your very helpful tip.
