The error pops up when I click Generate on the Content Generator.

“Received the ‘API URL was not found’ error from OpenAI. This actually means that your OpenAI account has not been enabled for the Chat API. You need to either add some credits to OpenAI account, or link a credit card to it.”

I have $5 in my OpenAI account ready to use and am trying to use 4o model.

    Hey @sidianmsjones! ??

Unfortunately, this issue doesn’t come from the plugin itself—the message is coming directly from OpenAI. This usually means your OpenAI API account is not set up properly. First, ensure it works in the OpenAI Playground, and then check that you can call the API as expected.

You can test this by copying and pasting this request example into your browser’s console to see if you can reach the OpenAI API. If the issue only occurs in WordPress, try temporarily disabling any cache, optimization, or security plugins to see if that helps.

    Thanks!

Thanks Val. I’ve been talking to GPT about it and everything looks good on the OpenAI end, including using your code you linked me.

I don’t understand what could be wrong. I’d really like to subscribe to the plugin but I need to make sure it will work for me first.

Both the Content and Playground area in AI Engine have the same error for me. Thanks for any help.

Would you be willing to hop on a chat or call of any kind? No worries if not. I just really want to subscribe and get going on AI Engine :). I’m sure in the end it will be some really simple setting.

Ok I just got it working! I know I tried this before but putting it on the 4o model made it work. No idea why o1 won’t work though.
