    The plugin randomly crashes with a generic message “an error with the widget has occurred. if it continues after refreshing, please contact your site administrator” or something like that.

    If I login and make a change in the widget and save it, everything is OK. But then i have to go back and revert to my original settings and after a week or so it happens again.

    What causes this?

    I’ve not had any other reports of this happening, what city, country combination are you searching for? It may be a problem with that and if you can give where you are searching for, I will investigate into why it is happening.

    Hi and thanks for checking into it! The city/country combination is Charleston, SC in the United States.

    Sorry for taking so long on this, I’ve only just had the chance to look into it.

    In the city field on the widget settings are just entering Charleston or are you putting in the state code as well? As just city work much better, also try using the city ID 4235668 to see if that works better.

    I had been entering Charleston, SC but will try the city ID and see if that works better. I do like this widget better than any of the others available.

    I installed this plugin yesterday and I can’t get it to work – I constantly get a “An error has occurred with the ICIT Weather Widget, if the issue persists through refreshing please contact the site administrator.” message.

    I’m tried inputting Dublin, Dublin IE and the location code, nothing working.

    Any ideas? I love the look of the plugin but its no use if it won’t work.

    Hi, I’ve just been testing this and have had no issues using the city name Dublin and country Ireland or the city code 2964574.

    What version of WordPress and ICIT Weather Widget are you using and I will make sure they are compatible?

    Hi, the lastest version of ICIT Weather, and WordPress 4.4.2.

    Hi, a colleague worked it out – it was a problem at my end with a firewall, had to add proxy settings to wp-config. Thanks!
