    Hi,

I need help with the Following error in GTmetrix. Do you know What this means?

The following requests are returning 404/410 responses. Either fix the broken links, or remove the references to the non-existent resources.

    https://www.mywebsite.nl/wp-content/cache/caos-analytics/analytics.js

One more thing: i think the plugin stopped working today because i can’t see visitors in Google Analytics?

    Thanks,
    Chantal

    Hi Chantal,

Yes, it means that the analytics.js can’t be found. Could you try triggering the download manually from your WordPress backend: Settings > Optimize Analytics > ‘update analytics.js’.

That should fix it. If not, let me know!

One more question: What is the best cookie expiry period? I have set it on 2 days. What would you suggest?

I’m happy that fixed your issue. Just keep an eye on it; this might mean that you’re WordPress-install isn’t allowed to automatically save files to your server. Which could mean a server misconfiguration. It could also mean that, now the file is created, your WordPress-install can automatically update it and the problem is resolved ??

The best cookie expiry period is anywhere between 1 day and 1 month. So you’re golden ??
