    Hello,
    We just realized that our contact form is not working anymore.
    I can see a few error messages:

    In debug.log file: [mailgun] Got unknown Content-Type: message/rfc822

    When testing the plugin configuration via the Test button (plugin configuration page) I get the error “Mailgun HTTP API Test Failure; status “Domain not found: swibeco.ch” despite the fact that the domain name is configured and validated.

    I try the API by running a curl command using same parameters and it worked well.
    I use The plugin Contact Form 7.

    If someone has any idea it would be really appreciated.

    Ok, found the issue. The MailGun Region configured in the WP plugin was wrong.
    It would be great to have error message corresponding to the problem ??

    We apologize for this inconvenience. What was the setting of the Region?
    By default, the U.S./North American region is set, which uses the U.S. API endpoint.
    What version of WordPress are you using?
    What version of the Mailgun plugin?
    Do you use any other third-party plugins for email management?

    The domain configuration done in Mailgun is in US region but the plugin configuration was set to Europe. That is the root cause.
    We are using WP 4.9.8 with Mailgun plugin version 1.5.13.1
    No other email management plugin.

    I am having a very similar issue, but in my case the mailgun test succeeds but when I submit a form via contact form 7 “[04-Oct-2018 14:13:59 UTC] [mailgun] Got unknown Content-Type: message/rfc822” appears in my debug.log I have the region set to US. This is with wordpress version 4.9.8, contact 7 version 5.0.4, and mailgun plugin version 4.2.5 . If I use Easy WP SMTP plugin instead with the same mailgun account via SMPT it works.

    I have about 20 of these errors on different days in the log. Region is configured correctly, and the emails succeed most of the time. What does this error mean, and why does it pop up intermittently?

    Getting same issue as swinggraphics. Getting the error in the log, but the mail is succeeding.

    WP: 4.9.8
    Mailgun: 1.6.1
