Hi, I added Google reCaptcha to my WordPress website yesterday and now I cannot login to my website. I get the following message:

Error: Google reCAPTCHA verification failed. The response parameter is missing.

I have read previous answers to this question and have tried renaming the plugins folder and have also removed the recapture file that I created in Google but I am still unable to login to the website. What can be done please?

    Thanks in advance

You enable the reCaptcha initially using a plugin – yes?

If you have already logged into your hosting account , and deleted plugins under /wp-content/plugins, then I would guess that you were caching.

Yes I enabled recaptcha through the plugin using inforation generated by Google reCaptcha.

I can not see the plugin in the ftp folder where it should be and have searched everywhere in the directories for it so I can disable it – but there is nothing relating to it. I have also tried renaming the plugin folder but it still will not let me login.

Is there anything else I can try?

    thanks

Can I see a screenshot of your ftp client and your plugins folder?

Did you remove the site url from your Google console?

Sure, here are the screen grabs for you.

I renamed the folder to oldplugins and when that did not work I also renamed all the pulgins inside it to try and disable each one.

And yes when neither of these options worked I wondered if I deleted the site url from google then it might clear everything.

    Kind regards

Rename old plugins back to plugins.
Rename your Ninja plugin back to ninja-forms.
Make sure you have removed the reCaptcha option from the form.
Delete all your plugins under /plugins
    Refresh.
Add your plugins back into your site one by one.

    Thank you

I will give that a go

Still not working – I just can not login to the website at all

I thought ReCaptcha would be the best thing to use to prevent spam on the website but now I wish I had not installed it at all

Thank you for your help so far

Is there anything else you can suggest?

    Can you share your URL?
What error do you get when you try to login?

Error: Google reCAPTCHA verification failed. The response parameter is missing.

I am still getting this error despite clearing the cache, removing the recaptcha key, trying to build the site on a completely new server. Just can not get passed the login?

Just feel I’m getting into deeper and deeper trouble. I have removed all wordfence files in case they were storing the information and have performed a domain name flush. Still no luck.

Can not even rebuild the site!?
