error getting image URL from protocol-relative src

  • The image preview code here doesn’t seem to be compatible with protocol-relative URLs (https://www.paulirish.com/2010/the-protocol-relative-url/). One culprit I can find is bpfb_interface.js:124, but there may be others.

    Protocol-relative URLs are now ‘anti-pattern’, but AFAIK still completely valid. We’ll look into converting our URLs but that’s just our own URLs. Might it be simple to add support in the plugin?

    I’m sorry for the late response!

    I tested on my lab site and there is indeed problem with relative urls – on my site I was able to preview images with those url, but then adding them to activity stream didn’t work at all.

    Let me consult this with plugin developer to see what can be done about that.
