Error establishing db

    Ray again. Happily nuked everything. Created new db and clean 3.5. Edited config for ms and made sure no www. Copied over new htaccess.

    Tried to install resulting in ‘Error establishing database connect’

    That www has to be in the config, unless I’m missing something else?

    PS. I put the www back into the config and it still gave me the same error. Now I’m really confused. I’m going backward…. falling, falling…

    Perhaps I have to give my isp a little time to setup up the db and let everything sync up. I’ve been doing all this on the fly.

    Tried to install … okay so exactly where in the Multisite process are you that this happens?

    You have WordPress installed and it works, you can see the hello-world post and everything. You’ve made sure pretty permalinks work.

    Then you start the multisite process, with the ONE line in your wp-config, and that works, so you follow the directions to do the rest and …?

    Thank you. I’ve been working through the issues and I’m going to close this out and open a new thread more applicable to what I’m going through now. Thanks again.
