• Hello,

I’ve kept getting this error the other day, but it seemed to sort itself out, but now it is back again. Whenever I try to access the dashboard of my site, I get the error mentioned in the title and it locks up my website for a couple minutes, sometime it will just take avery long time to try and load the dashboard but then fail.

I’ve tried restoring databases from a backup, I tried the database maintenance debug thing, I’ve tried checking the wp_config file for errors, and I’ve tried making a test php file to make sure the database can be connected to, which it does.

My host says that I am getting too many queries at a time, if I were, wouldn’t I just see the error across the entire website? Plus they said the only way to fix it is by paying $230 a year… it’s a hobby site, it isn’t big, and I work in fast food, I can not afford it.

    Please can someone help me?
    Leon

    My site is nintybuzz.com

    – Sounds like the error is intermittent. If the error is intermittent then it’s your server. What’s happening is that the web server and/or the database server are gettign overloaded and the connection is droping out or is refused for a short time. That gives you the database error as the website can’t connect to the database. To fix this, you’ll need to talk to your hosting company as they are the only ones that can do anything about hardware issues like this.

The thing is, is it is only the Admin dashboard with the problem, though at least now it’s just taking ages to load a blank page without a database error
