Error Establishing Connection

I have wordpress installed on a Debian Server running MySql. However every now and again the website loses connection to the database with the error “Error Failure to Establish Database Connection”

The only way I have found to solve this is to reboot the server.

Is there any way i can fix this issue and guarantee the website staying up?
