Error establishing a database connection after VPS upgrade

  • Hi guys, I need some help. After Upgrading from shared hosting to VPS, I can’t seem to login anymore. I can get to the login screen, but after putting in the password and username, it goes to Error establishing database connection.

    It was totally fine the day before I used bluehost to ugrade to VPS, and I didn’t change anything at all. Any suggestions how to fix it?

    Yea I checked the database details, username, password and ‘localhost’ all seem to be correct in the wp-config file…

    The same issue happened to me somewhat! Now our website is just a white page! I can’t get to the login screen, but our login wouldnt work on wordpress.com
