Error Establishing a Database Connection After Editing

Hello,

After enabling https I’ve encountered a problem. Editing pages seems to take much longer then before, they load slower, they publish slower, and after they publish they continue load for a bit. While the page is still loading, if I try to open a new page on my site, I get the following error”

“Error Establishing a Database Connection.” I never got this error before and I could open as many pages as I wanted while submitting edits. I have no idea what happened. Any help and direction would be greatly appreciated. I have Blue Host and am using the “Really Simple SSL” plugin. Thanx!
