Do you have any error loggings?
No errors in the logging “error_log”
The error is only during creating the file.Hi Michel,

This are the complete lines! the message is only an A.
When I try to make a feed now, I see this also:WP Product Feed Manager
MailPoet-fout: Kon niet verbinden met de database (de database kon een bestand of map niet openen), de verbinding is waarschijnlijk niet juist geconfigureerd. Lees ons Kennisbank-artikel met stappen over hoe dit op te lossen is.
Manage your feeds with ease
etc.After a little while it’s working again.
Could you try to deactivate the MailPoet plugin and see if you then can generate a feed without issues?
I did but get the same eror: Error establishing a database connection !!
(Not the mail poet message)What exactly did you mean by “After a little while it’s working again.”. The feed was generating after waiting for a while?
MailPoet has several plugins, what plugin are you using and is that the free version?
Also what version of our plugin are you using?
Hi Michael,
This is what I do, and happens.
– I click on save and generate feed,
– I click on “Feed Manager”, this error accours: Error establishing a database connection
– I go to the website (front), this error accours: Error establishing a database connection
– after a little while, I think when the feed is generated, the error is gone.I have this “free” mailpoet version Versie: 3.10.1
And your plug-in is this version: Versie: 1.10.0I can’t replicate it on my servers (even after installing MailPoet) but because I’ve never heard about database connection issues with our plugin before, I still have a feeling it is related to MailPoet, also because MailPoet seems to have a special way to setup database connections. Our plugin is using the standard WordPress wpdb class to connect to the database, so that should work correctly.
Could you please try if these steps help solving the issue? https://beta.docs.mailpoet.com/article/200-solving-database-connection-issues
Disregard my previous message. I now see that the instructions are mainly for localhost or MAMP/LAMP setups.
I will dive further into this issue.
I don’t think its related to mailpoet, because when I disable the mailpoet plug-in , the same error happend!
Yes I understand that. But I know that sometimes plugins leave traces behind, even when they are deactivated. Not saying it is definitely the MailPoet plugin, but as for now it is the only trace I have.
There is nothing I can change to the database connection, because I use the standard WordPress Database Access Abstraction Object to connect to the database. I can’t change that, in fact the WordPress code itself is making the connection. And you’re the first who reported this issue whilst we have 10.000+ users.
Did you have this issue from the start when you used our plugin, or did it work fine at first and suddenly got broken?
I have it from the beginning (last friday)
When I generated the first feed, there was standing “proccesing” and stayed there.
Then I enabeld:
Disable background processing Process feeds directly instead of in the background (default off). Try this option when feeds keep getting stuck in processing.
I read that on the plug-in site.Could you open a technical support ticket in our support system here: https://www.wpmarketingrobot.com/support/ ?
Just fill in a random number in the license input field and please add the requested Woocommerce > System status > button “Get system report” file to the ticket.
Let me know when you did that so I can intercept the ticket.
