Error establishing a database connection

    Hi,

    I went to access my website today and was greeted with a lovely “Error establishing a database connection” message. After trying to find some answers to google I hit a bit of a dead end as I can’t even access my website’s backend.

    The site URL is https://carpetworkroom.com. I haven’t made any major edits lately so this error seems completely random.

    Double-check your wp-config.php file to make sure that your database connection details are correct.

    If they are, contact your hosting provider to ask why your database server is offline.

    Thanks, James.

    It turned out to be a hosting issue and my site went back up fairly quickly after they sorted it out. Even my hosting company’s phone lines were down. I’ll still double check my wp-config.php file.
