Error establishing a database connection
-
I have my website hosted on godaddy and use deluxe wordpress. I then built my website completely online through /wp-admin. So I have never used any ftp and don’t even have a backup of my site.
Recently I have been fighting a pharma hack and yesterday I was on godaddy’s site and found an area called “MySQL” clicking on it took me to phpmyadmin.net and it asked me to log in, so I did. Everything on that site was way over my head, so I backed out and didn’t mess with anything.
Now today when I go to my site I get Error establishing a database connection and when I go to /wp-admin I get
Error establishing a database connectionThis either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at goo1027908030520.db.6823732.hostedresource.com. This could mean your host’s database server is down.
Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running? If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! I’d be more than willing to pay someone for helping me work through this and maybe even helping a bit with the pharma issues.
