• I have my website hosted on godaddy and use deluxe wordpress. I then built my website completely online through /wp-admin. So I have never used any ftp and don’t even have a backup of my site.

Recently I have been fighting a pharma hack and yesterday I was on godaddy’s site and found an area called “MySQL” clicking on it took me to phpmyadmin.net and it asked me to log in, so I did. Everything on that site was way over my head, so I backed out and didn’t mess with anything.

Now today when I go to my site I get Error establishing a database connection and when I go to /wp-admin I get
    Error establishing a database connection

This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at goo1027908030520.db.6823732.hostedresource.com. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running?

If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I’d be more than willing to pay someone for helping me work through this and maybe even helping a bit with the pharma issues.

Also the website in question is
    GoodhewRoofing.net

And now apparently when you google goodhew roofing my homepage is no longer seen(it was at the top) But lower down in results it lists two separate pages of my site and if you click on either it takes you to https://store-best-it.com/

I’m having the same problem establishing a database connection today, but it’s happening an all Godaddy WordPress sites I have access to, and they aren’t all from the same hosting account, so I now hope it’s them and not me. The sites themselves still appear fine from the frontend, and I can log in via FTP, but I can’t get into any WordPress admin areas.

Great! Well actually not great, but still better than I was thinking. Hopefully it is them and not us. Thank you for the info

    GoodhewRoofing.net website is also down.

The error message is due to the fact that either database server is down or you have connecting issue.

As you pointed out your site is infected with malware. This may also cause database server to overload and make it offline.

You should first look at fixing pharma hack issue.

For details you can look here.

If you want to hire someone to fix it. Post a project with details here

They’re all good again across the board here. I just left for a few hours and came back, so whatever was up has been cleared.
