Error Establishing a Database Connection

  • Hello all, hopefully you can help. I am building a website for my classroom and just a few moments ago, I went to the bbpress forums to ask a question there. I needed to login there and need my wordpress login info. Unfortunately I forgot my password and requested a reset. After resetting my password to login to bbpress, I can no longer access my wordpress website (bluehost is my host). Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

  • You’ll need to edit your blog’s wp-config.php file with the new password for your database. You can do that with an FTP client, or from your hosting panel if bluehost has a feature to manage and edit files from within the panel.
