Error establishing a database connection

  • Hy i am facing the problem with my website whenever i try to publish post it show me this error.

    Even i have checked every action which is mention in below. Which stop my website and stuck the traffic.. Please give me solution for this.

    Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
    Are you sure that the database server is running?

  • Not sure if this will help, but I troubleshoot this in a few ways:

    • create a new user on the existing database with all privileges and a new password, then try the new login.
    • Can you restart your mysql server?
    • copy the database and create a new name for the sql file, create empty db with the same name, import sql file, create user and grant privs, try the new connection
    • confirm that your database server is actually “localhost” and not a specific server address

    That’s all I got! Sometimes it feels like it is random, but it obviously isn’t. I’ve also just tried recreating the config file, and that works too.
