Error establishing a database connection

    Does anybody have this issue. Just happened about 2-3 minutes ago.

    Crying for help here, folks!!

    This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

    * Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
    * Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
    * Are you sure that the database server is running?

  • Whenever I have seen this in the past it has been because the host database server was, indeed, down. Have you checked with your hosting provider?

    They were up and alive and that is the reason I posted here.
    Soon after posting here, things started working.
