    Hello, @kaastrup

    Where do you see this error? I see that our plugin is active on your site and I don’t see this error.

    hi

    the error is not there right now, as I have just rebooted the server – The error comes with a few days interval, and then I can reboot the server/apache (linode) and then the site is working again.

    But in my trouble shouting I have uninstalled the cleantalk plugin, and then the site was running for a long time…

    Last week I had also installed Wordfence plugin, and then the database connection error was coming more often. Then I uninstalled Wordfence and the site was running a little bit longer before the database error was coming again.

    I have looked at the wp-config.php but I can not see any errors in the database name, user or password.

    My wp-config.php has an old entry from 10web cache plugin. I have uninstalled the plugin long time ago. See below – But if I delete the section in the file, and reboots, then the site will not come up, even though I have uninstalled the plugin, and there is no file at the reference…

    BEGIN WP Cache by 10Web

    define( ‘TWO_PLUGIN_DIR_CACHE’, ‘/var/www/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/tenweb-speed-optimizer/’ );

    END WP Cache by 10Web

    Cloud the error be a resources thing, since the site is able to run for some days after a reboot, and then drops ????

    Thank you for the details.

    Please, check this guide: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-error-establishing-a-database-connection-in-wordpress/

    Also, most likely your server is probably out of memory.

    Please, contact your hosting support for more details.

    If the server was/is out of memory, will it not come online again by itself when the cron jobs are run – I have notised that some cron jobs are hanging or failing to run sometimes…

    And what would be the minimum CPU/MEM for a typical webshop running LAMP (Ubuntu 22.04, Apache, Maria DB and PHP 8) ???
