    I’m getting this error…

    Error establishing a database connection

    This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at w2web41.w2web.net. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

    My server guy assures me the w2web41.w2web.net is correct. So if that is the case, and the username and password are also okay, then what could be the problem. The perms are set to 644.

  • I’d triple-check that database name, username, and password, because it’s almost guaranteed to be one of those incorrectly set.
