Error: Email not sent. Could not instantiate mail function.

    Hi, I’m trying to activate the booking option in my website. I added this plugin, I changed all the options in the right way, I created an email model for each option (booking confirmed, booking canceled, etc..) but when I click on the test email I get this:
    “Error: Email not sent. Could not instantiate mail function.”
    What can I do? When I try booking some event, I get errors but in the booking list I see that the user “blabla” did the booking. I just can’t send him the confermation and every other mail.

    just to narrow down the problem and help us debug the issue is it possible to try the following temporarily:

    – deactivating all other plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems
    – changing your mail sending method to SMTP and then use your gmail account to rule out any server issue.
