Am I the only person who is getting this error? The hosting account is on GoDaddy.

    Thanks!

I’m having a similar error. It appears to be the SSLv3 error, but we had re-authenticated since the change and it was working up until 2 days ago.

Running scheduled, I get the error. If I run manually, it works fine.

@zerogravity I wonder if both of these are caused by the system having to delete a backup either for storage space or because the number of backups files threshold has been reached?

I am getting the error even when running the backup manually. We were getting the error before the update and re-authentication. I anticipated the error would go away after updating but no such luck.

It is only happening with this client who is on GoDaddy. I am not getting the error with clients who have their site on the hosting I provide.

Looks like it might be time to get in touch with GoDaddy.

Pleas use BackWPup Version 3.1.3 or above. Dropbox has changed from SSL to TLS for security reasons.

Thank you Daniel. Oddly, the 3.1.2 was working after the SSL to TLS switch. It stopped working and now is working again – without updating to 3.1.3. I’ll update it regardless. Thanks for writing.

    Daniel,

I have version 3.1.4 installed on WP 4.1 and I am still getting the errors. As mentioned previously it is only happening with my one client who is using GoDaddy Hosting and with large backup files. The smaller database backup works without any problems.

Below is the log from my most recent test.

Please try to delete the Plugin over FTP and upload it new.

Some users may need to do one more step:
Delete the existing Dropbox authentication after re-installing the plugin as described by Daniel, and re-authenticatee the Dropbox API

    Worked for me.

    (@zerogravity)

I deleted the plugin via FTP and uploaded the latest version again via FTP without deactivating the plugin. It didn’t fix the problem but I will try what you suggested @mike and get my client to re-authenticate.

    Thread Starter ZeroGravity

    (@zerogravity)

We re-authenticated with dropbox without any luck. The smaller database only backup works but the larger one that includes files has the error.

You can disable https connection validation with https://marketpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/backwpup-disable-ssl-verify.zip .
But it is not so secure as without it.

@daniel, I uploaded the plugin. The first test got two errors then uploaded. The second test worked. I will try again in a couple of days to see if the problem may have been solved.

@daniel I installed and activated the plugin you suggested and am still getting errors. It uploaded on the third attempt. Below is a log of the backup. At this time I think I am going to need to look for another solution for this client.

How to delete authentification token? I see no such option…
Aha, I had to delete all API keys. Problem solved.
