Error: Distribution domain name mismatch

I have the latest version of w3tc and WordPress installed. I am trying to configure Amazon Cloudfront as a CDN. I have tried manually creating a distribution on Amazon’s site – and I have tried allowing the plug-in to do it for me. In either case, I am getting the error: Error: Distribution domain name mismatch when I test the Cloudfront Distribution.
I have also telling W3tc that Amazon is a generic mirror, but then all of the files remain hosted on my server. None of them are being served from the CDN. I am not sure how to proceed with this.
