Since a few days, I cannot connect to my WP site anymore.

Already removed Jetpack and installed it again but no change. Also didn’t it help to de-activate all plug-ins when re-installing jetpack.

This is the error I get every time when Im trying to set up jet pack again:

Error Details: Unable to insert blog. Please try again or contact support.

And strange enough does the de-bugger also give an error (https://jetpack.com/support/debug/)

    An unknown error has occurred.

Hope someone can help as the support is not available when you only have the free plan (Support for customers on Jetpack’s Free Plan is temporarily closed.)

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @sandyjuettner242 , could you also open a new thread, and be sure to include a link to your site?

I still have the same problem. XML-RPC file can be accessed but no change.

Re-installed jetpack almost every day since but no change…

@geckoroutes your site / home addresses still seem odd. And we still get an error.

Have you confirmed the site URL and home URL are correct?

Could you please give a better explanation of what you mean with odd?

I followed the instructions and it looks like the settings should be ok now. See here the screenshots:

Jetpack is continuing to save your WordPress and Site Addresses as wordpress-175698-809312.cloudwaysapps.com

Does that sound familiar to you, perhaps you’re overriding something via wp-config.php or functions.php?

Despite being saved properly at Settings > General, are the WordPress and Site Addresses editable, or are you locked out from editing them?

Thanks for this info. I wasn’t aware that my website points to the address you copied. Also no idea how it is possible. Can’t find anything in my config or functions that could override this.

The link you shared is a staging I made of my website, but even deleting it doesn’t help.

Also changed something in my .htaccess file that could have redirected the url to the wrong address, but it didn’t help.

I also changed the site and address several times to a url with and without www. at Settings > General, so looks like I have full access to edit this.

Edit: I just found out I logged into Jetpack with another staging website https://wordpress-175698-743047.cloudwaysapps.com
@macmanx I disconnected this site, but unfortunately it didn’t change anything. Can you check if there are still other account associated with my current geckoroutes?

Ok, one of our developers did some digging on this.

We found a record of the site without www. in the domain, which may have been conflicting, so that’s gone.

We also found what appears to have been a glitch preventing the WordPress and Site Address changes from actually being saved on our end, so that’s fixed.

I think, with all of that out of the way, and with the thorough checking on your end, let’s try this one more time.

Please try deleting Jetpack specifically from the Plugins section of your blog’s Dashboard: https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/#reinstalling-jetpack

This will clear out Jetpack’s settings, and it will work properly after a reinstall, I hope, really seriously this time, fingers crossed.

Thank you so much! I just re-installed jetpack and its working again now!

Really missed the great overview with all the stats!

Amending the site address to be www worked for me (with a few broken gateways etc. but eventually Jetpack was connected and working).

    Brilliant!

    Thank you posters and solvers.
