Error deleting Rewrite & Republish after translating with WPML

I used the plugin the create a Rewrite and Republish copy of a page. After finalizing the changes as republished. So far so good. Now I wanted to update the translation of the original.

The translation itself had no issues but after completing I get an error saying that it could not delete the Rewrite and Republished. How could it? Why is it trying to do this? I republished before updating the translation so it is deleted already.

I am using Advanced Translation Editor in WPML and I have configured it to delete translations automatically when an original is deleted, in case that helps.
