@humanist1 Just wondering if the “cURL error 6: getaddrinfo() thread failed to start error” reappeared on your site at any stage?

If not great, we’ll close this support topic. If the error does reappear let me know if you’re able to perform the suggested checked above.

For the other errors you reported feel free to open a separate support forum topic and we’d be happy to assist.

    Hi @jamesosborne

Thanks for your message, I’m late to update you because I’m doing some experiments. 7 days ago I deactivate Google Site Kit plugin for 3 days, during 3 days I did not face “cURL error 6: getaddrinfo() thread failed to start error”. After the site kit update, I reactivate again, and the same error starts again, and now since from past 2 days, I deactivate again, and the site working ok.

This time I am not in contact with the Host because in past the host refuses to help me on this issue because they have an opinion, this error occurs because of the plugin.

    Thank you,

@humanist1 Appreciate the update, thank you. I will take this up with the team once more while keeping you updated here. I don’t have any timeframe on this but hopefully I will have an update for you at some stage this week. I’ll also reopen the related GitHub issue below:
    https://github.com/google/site-kit-wp/issues/4021

So I can provide the engineering team with more insights on this it would be great if you could perform the below checks:

    1. Does the same occur if you switch PHP version and try to recreate?
    2. Does the same occur on a different site on the same hosting provider?

    Hi @jamesosborne,

In the past, I found the same result after switching PHP version, But I have no idea about other sites because the host does not support me on this issue, they mentioned this is plugin isseu.

Since I deactivated 2nd times Site Kit in the past 5/6 days again I do not see “cURL error 6: getaddrinfo()”

Thank you for your time and support.

    Hi @humanist1,

Thanks for the update. This could be coming from your server configuration although I can’t be sure. I’ve spoken with the team once more and we’ve so far been unable to recreate the issue. Considering it’s not longer occurring I’ll mark this support topic as resolved. We can certainly reopen should you come across this once more. Appreciate you going to great lengths in sharing all these insights.

    Hi @jamesosborne

Thanks for the reply, error is no longer occurring because sit kit plugin is deactavted. Anyway, you best know to close this case.

    Thank you for your support.
    Best
