    Hi everybody,
I have posted a similar post on another forum as well by mistake, think it is the most appropriate place to seek help for the problem my blog has run into.
background: I got my site installed by Psek, the original version I got installed on this website was 2.9.2 of WordPress MU, I upgraded it to version 3.0 and now this is the error which greets me when someone tries to create a new site.

Now when a registered user tries to create its own site, we encounter an error “Warning: include_once(/home/legisblg/public_html/wp-admin/includes/mu.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/legisblg/public_html/wp-content/mu-plugins/signup-language.php on line ..”.

I looked in the code of signup-language.php and was surprised to note that it was pointing to a missing mu.php in folder [/home/legisblg/public_html/wp-admin/includes/]. I would appreciate any help on this which could lead to us getting this error fixed.

    TIA,
    Tanveer Malik

  • Your signup language plugin needs updated to take account of this change. V2.9.2 had mu.php there, v3.0 doesn’t. Check with the authors and see if there’s a compatible version available.

Oh, you mean signup is installed and activated as a Plugin, since I did not installed it I did not know about it. It came pre-installed by Psek people then. What if a compatible version is not available? can you recommend some other plugin which could take care of the process?
    Thanks,

I tried to find out the ‘signup language’ plugin in installed/uninstalled or even on the server but could not find its installation files either. I would appreciate any suggestion to fix it up.
I tried to install another plugin xlanguage and activate it but this plugin even could not be activated.
    Thanks,

No such file or directory in /home/legisblg/public_html/wp-content/mu-plugins/signup-language.php

This tells you where it is. Delete it, or rename the file to e.g. signup-language.bak, to uninstall it.

I have tried it and renamed it like –signup-language.php, but even then the process kept on referring to it.
I have submitted a support ticket with the Psek People as well and am expecting a response from them to bail me out of this fiasco.

Go look for the plugin in the /wp-content/mu-plugins/ folder.

Yes, sorry for the delayed response. I did and have removed it from there now the blog looks fine without the language option for the new blog site. Just for my curiosity is there any other plugin available which could provide the same functionality – providing an option for the language for the new blog site?
    Thanks,

Sorry, I should have said that renaming it, unless you renamed its extension (e.g. from .php to .bak), wouldn’t work: WordPress would still treat it as an installed plugin.
