Hi, I wanted to know why when I create a new group the system gives me this error “There was an error loading the page. Please try again by reloading the page via the menu on the left. If the problem persists, please ask for help on the support forums”.

At the moment I have configured 2 groups, one with ID 1 and the other with ID3.
    Thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

If it’s basically a empty dashboard with red/bold text that usually means something is wrong with the database.

Please check your servers error_log file for specifics. This file is commonly found in your hosting dashboard somewhere.
Anything mentioning AdRotate is interesting. Probably something about missing columns.

The error that appears is this, when I click on “manage groups”

Make sure you have updated the database. You can check that in sett > maintenance, near the bottom.
Click the update button if any of the version numbers are red.

    Meanwhile, thanks for the reply.
It seems to me that everything is fine. This is the image showing the versions. Thanks again

    So your groups work again?

    Thread Starter redhotcyber

    (@redhotcyber)

No, I only have two groups. If I try to create another one, the red message of the first print screen arrives

Finally, I created the group, within the database, by cloning it from an existing one and it seems to work. Now I have 4 groups and the banners rotate.

However, it seems to me that the statistics don’t work, I don’t know if there is any reference with the other tables.

Right, but if it doesn’t work from the dashboard something is wrong with the database, so please check your servers error_log file as I suggested in my first reply so we can fix the issue.

The problem is that I don’t seem to see it. Since I’m in a managed situation I have to ask the provider. Anyway many thanks in the meantime

If you have a dashboard or control panel for your hosting it should be in there.
Commonly the file is called error_log. Sometimes error.log.

If you don’t have such a control panel, check with your hosting provider to see where it is or if they can look up the errors from the log.

The error shows also on my site. Using the latest 5.10 version. This didn’t occur before the update.

It’s only on group adverts. I can edit the previous ones but cannot create a new. Also editing and saving a new group doesn’t show always the ads.

This is an error recorded on php error log:

Finish the update by updating the database.
There should be a big notification banner in your dashboard with a pulsing button asking you to do so.

If not go to settings > maintenance and run the update script from there. Near the bott You can find the updater.

Hi @adegans .I’ve already tried manual updating after reading this thread and didn’t work. Also there isn’t any notification banner.

Hi – I’m having same problem. Can’t create new group. Existing groups are fine. I’ve deactiated and reactivated plugin… everything seems up to date.

just a random thought (I could easily be way off here as I’m no expert)…. but could it be something to do with caching? The only significant thing I’ve done recently is install a couple of caching plugins as it was recommended in my dashboard. I notice there is a tick box for W3 caching in Adrotate settings but when I tick this it doesn’t solve the issue and I get a separate error message. As said, could be totally irrelevant! ??
