Error crashing Website

    I am receiving this error when I active Event List

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_internal_encoding() in /home/nono9425/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-list/includes/db.php on line 284

    It is crashing the website. Any ideas on how I can fix this?
