error could not copy file xxx to /wordpress/core/xxx

    Hi,

    during the staging creation process I get the subject errors and after installing the plugin it shows this message: “WP STAGING – Folder Permission error.
    The folder /wordpress/core/5.7.2/ is not write and/or readable.
    Check if this folder is writeable by php user or www-data . File permissions should be chmod 755 or 777.”

    Where can I find /wordpress/core/5.7.2/ folder? Under my sftp connection is not visible; do I have to create it manually under root “/”?

    do you use a WordPress site hosted on wordpress.com and not a self-hosted one?
    Or do you use another hosting provider?

    Up to now, the staging process does not work on wordpress.com. I wonder how you were able to install WP STAGING on wordpress.com. Do you have a few more details for me?
