Tonight on one site I noticed that Stream noted there were no recent events/changes and since I knew there was (and wanted to track down which of the two site editors did something), I looked and received an error that stream could not connect…

I deactivated, reactivated then tried to connect and got this error:

There was a problem verifying your site with Stream. Please try again later.

    (Which I will)…but:

I have logged into WordPress.com with my credentials and that works fine.

    What is up?

    Exactly the same here!

This seems to work now, but would still like a response from Stream as to what the issue is/was.

I’m having this issue too, for the last week or so, on a “Pro” account.

The message I get is “Stream API Error: Operation timed out after 5000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received.”

    Any explanation or help available?

I have deactivated this plugin as now it is throwing up an error that it timing out after 5000 ms. Clearly there is no support here for it. I like the thought of the plugin but with multiple recurring issues being acknowledged here by multiple forum/plugin users and no response at all from the plugin dev., I not only will not use it but think WP should remove it from the plugin directory at least until these issues are resolved.

Edit (add this additional comment): It then causes a more than 5 second page load on all admin pages (adds 5s +).

Hey everyone, my apologies for the delayed response. I went on paternity leave for a few weeks when my son was born, and inconveniently the server decided to have issues during that time ??

We are now undergoing a large data migration to a new set of servers. The good news is that data is still being captured by Stream, however reading that data back is intermittently in and out (as you have described). We’ve also disabled new signups and reconnections at this time until the migration is complete.

I will post here when the migration is fully complete, we expect it to last several more days.

Well! Congrats! Please work thru the issues. I think the plugin is useful (when no issues).

Thank you very much for your support!

    Hi Frankie,

Thank you for the explanation. Great to know this is under control and will be resolved soon.

    Many thanks,

    Christopher

P.S. I hope you’ve been enjoying your paternity leave!

I guess the migration is still in process?

Actually we just completed it today! Signups are now re-enabled on our website and process about 30x faster than they did before ??

Please let me know if you encounter any more issues, and thank you so much for your patience!
