Error connecting to Square

Hello, I recently started to encounter some errors with the Woocommerce Square plugin. I was notified that the checkout page shows a: there is no payment method available and tried troubleshooting the issue.
I disconnected the square account, deleted and reinstalled the plugin, and during configuration I keep getting an error trying to connect to square:
Something went wrong when connecting to Square!
Please try again.

I disabled all my plugins already thinking it was a conflict issue.. the error suddenly occurred as it is reported by many other users in the past hours.The woocommerce status page does not show any issue as everything is highlighted on green.
I also wanted to address that I haven’t made any modifications nor installed any additional plugins during this period. the error occurred all of a sudden..
please let me know if there is anything to provide from my end for troubleshooting.
