ERROR CONNECTING TO DATABASE-URGENT

    Hi

    Can someone please help, I have obviously done something pretty stupid, I tried to insert a video into a post which has never failed before but this time on saving a draft it came up with the following
    error message. I assume it must be a wrong format video, I am using Smart-You Tube and essentially you just add a v into the URL i.e. httpv://….

    The website cannot display the page HTTP 500
    Most likely causes:
    ?The website is under maintenance.
    ?The website has a programming error.
    What you can try:
    refresh the page.
    Go back to the previous page.

    How can I get back in to correct it, this is urgent as the site is down, if you can help please make it simple.

  • Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    Thank you so much for coming back so quickly, somehow the site corrected itself just a few minutes ago but I will remember your suggestion for if it happens again.
