Error Connecting to database issues

  • I am hosted on mediatemple.net and I am running into problem with the connecting to the database. I installed bbpress on another domain but I think it used the same database as wp so wp settings got messed up. Here is the code from my wpconfig file

    It says error connecting to database. I tried changing it to localhost but that doesn’t work either. Any help. Also if I had to could I delete Wp and the database and then use a Mysql back up file to restore everything? Waht would I have to do in order to restore everything instead of just the tables?

    As seen above, your WordPress application has created a lot of “stuck” MySQL queries which should not be happening under normal circumstances.

    They recommend super cache (already have cacheing installed, or REDUC number of plugins (22)

    Could multiple revisions in 2.6x causing DB to get cluttered?

    I meant to say

    could the keeping track of multiple revisions for each post be the culprit here?
