    I can’t connect Site Kit.

I’ve installed on two other websites yesterday so it’s not my browser or firewall or my laptop.

    https://www.howtonetwork.com/

Click on ‘redo plugin set up’ but it says ‘site not found’

Uninstalled and reinstalled plugin with no effect.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

@howtonetwork Thanks for reaching out. To troubleshoot this further, please share the following:

    1. Your?Site Health information. You can?use this form?to share privately if preferred.?
    2. Does the same occur when trying from an Incognito browser??
    3. Have you tried following the troubleshooting steps here and are you able to complete setup while in troubleshooting mode?

Let me know if you have any questions on the above.

Have you tried the following steps? Not let’s try these steps and let me know if it works.

    1. Check Site URL in WordPress Settings: you need to Ensure that the WordPress (URL) and Site Address (URL) in the WordPress general settings are correct and use https:// if your site has an SSL certificate. Any discrepancy here might cause Site Kit to fail.
    2. Verify Site Ownership in Search Console: Confirm that your website must verified in Google Search Console. If it’s not, go through the verification process within Search Console to establish ownership. Because Site Kit relies on this verification to function correctly.
    3. Clear Caches: Try to clear your browser cache, WordPress cache (if using any caching plugin), and server cache. Sometimes cached data could be interfere with plugin setups and connections.
    4. Reset Site Kit: In the Site Kit settings, try using the “Reset Site Kit” option. This action will remove the current connection and allow you to set up the plugin again. Note that this will not affect the data in your Google services but will require you to connect the site again.
    5. Check for Conflicting Plugins: Disable any other plugins first, especially any SEO plugin, security, or caching, and then attempt the setup again.
    6. Review Permissions: Ensure that your Google account has the necessary permissions to access Google services like Analytics and Search Console. You might need to log in with an account that has admin rights.

I hope these might be root cause of your error that you’re facing.

If you still face issues, share any error messages or console logs you receive during the setup process to further diagnose the problem.

Reset Site Kit, after deactivating Yoast and Cache plugins, worked like a charm ??
    Thanks!

    Thanks

there is no troubleshooting option for installed plugins. The only one other than disable is the support link. The problem is the same in Brave, Chrome, Edge and Incognito.

I can access my site directly from Search Console so it’s all verified but I can’t use the Site Kit without the errors I’ve mentioned above.

@howtonetwork Thanks for the update. As we see a Site Kit reset helped another user with this issue. Could you please try performing this yourself and let me know if this resolves the issue and allows you to set up the plugin.

@howtonetwork Are the other 2 websites you have Site Kit running on using the same plugins/theme and hosted on the same platform? Are you using the same Google account across all sites where you are using Site Kit?

If you could also share a recording of this so that we can see it happening that would also help.

As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to?open a new support topic?if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist.
