    Hi LCW,

I’m sorry to hear that the plugin isn’t working properly for you. There could be a conflict with the theme you’re using or with another plugin. Would you be able to copy the error message you’re seeing?

There might be an easy fix for this.

    Thanks!

It shows up exactly like this.

    Hi LCW,

Thanks for adding the error codes. The problem occurs because of a php function called strftime(). This function is responsible for the time/date output. The error codes you’re seeing appear when it’s used on a Windows system, and seeing that you’re running your website locally, this is probably te case. If you would host it on a webserver, it’s likely to run on Linux in which case you wouldn’t have this issue.

If you’re comfortable with editing code, you could go into simple-events-calenar.php and change %e to %#d (all 10 instances), that should fix it. In that case, remember to re-download and install the original plugin when you’re moving your website online.

Hope this works for you. If you need any help, let me know.

    Hi LCW,

I’ve just been working on the code and a new update of the plugin should be live anytime soon. This should fix the issue completely (no need to edit the code anymore).

Would you be able to test it and let me know if it’s working now?

    The new version is 1.2.2

    Many thanks!

    Hi LCW,

I think you’ve just ranked and updated the status of the wrong plugin. I saw your comment on the Simple Upcoming Events plugin and this is the Simple Events Calendar…

    Cheers!

    Jerry
